As Quake players, we hate bots with a passion.

I just noticed that this thread has 698,666 views. That's very indicative of bot activity, on a forum with what appears to be much lower human activity. :)

Haha.

Yeah, at some point the spambots learned the anti-bot code (or some human bot programmer bothered to check and program them with it), so I altered it and that seems to have stopped them again. I don't know why anyone would care enough about this dead place to program their bots specifically for it.... I guess the bots just try to get on any forum they can. Spambot programmers need to be fed o the shambler.

I was wondering how you were typing messages to me so quickly and playing so well on an Android client.. That explains it.

So Collins is a bot? I just went through the registration process here and I'm surprised a bot could get through those anti-bot questions.

Didn't I just ban you last month for putting casino links in your signature?

Oh, wait, no, my mistake; that was someone named Collin. Your name is Collins, so you're obviously a completely different person who is about to get banned for trying to sneak casino links in your signature in a week or so....

Well, I had to add something for scale, so I decided upon an ancient wooden writing device that was also in use during the time of Quake, back in the 90s.

Now that I think about it, kids these days may not know the size of a pencil.... I guess I should have used something kids would be familiar with, like, I don't know, a pokemon card?

Appears to appreciate these weight loss pills for men and have a fitting color scheme, too.

Think I'd still have to get a bluetooth mouse, though.
It looks so Quake-ish. That's awesome, Gunter. Love the pencil lol.

Remember back in 1998, when we all wanted BIGGER stuff to run Quake on? Maybe we started out with a 13" monitor (I did), then upgraded to a larger 15" monitor, and later maybe we got a HUGE 17" monitor sitting beside our huge-ass tower computer.... Yeah, that was da bomb (as we used to say back in the 90s. Ok, I never actually said that. It was stupid).

Yeah, now in 2018, everything is getting smaller....

Here's my awesome Quake machine now!!

That would be QuakeDroid ( http://www.celephais.net/board/view_thread.php?id=61558 ) running on my 7" RCA Voyager Android 6 tablet (came with the keyboard case), with my iPega 9023 bluetooth gamepad attached.

Yup, even back in 1998, that would have been awesome!
