Look for updated graphics drivers.

No error messages, it just lags a lot, like if I was running a very demanding game on an old PC.

I can only guess that it's some issue in DXQuake that you're using (or is it D3DQuake?)... since I've never seen that happen, or heard of anyone else having that problem.

Also, you might check your quake folder for opengl32.dll and delete it if you find it. That file will stop most versions of glquake from working. If you find and delete that file from your quake folder, you may be able to get proquake or fitzquake to run.

Do you get any error messages when you try to run them?

Hey Gunter, looks like the music that plays in the dance party, after all players reached the exit, is going mute after a few seconds for some unknown reason... thought you might want to check that out.
