I have received this message from the server owner that is hosting my site:

B) I will make a back up every day untill this site goes down. Then, the day this site goes down, all posts/topics made after the last backup will be lost.

Push the shutdown to the latest possible date, and I will be fine with all lost after that.

Are you just changing the domain name? I don't see why the site has to be shut down at all then...

Ah.... so it's the server host that doesn't know how to change a domain name....

This forum will shut down tonight. When the new site is up, I'll inform Orl, who can inform Gunter, who can update the FvF page.

See, this is why it's a bad idea to shut down things before your new site is up..... You may expect things to happen quickly, but it usually doesn't work out that way... So we have a shut down forum for no-telling-how-long until the new site is up....
I had Orl re-enable this forum because there's just no reason why it should have to be down while we wait..... So we might lost posts when the site changes... that's better than not being able to post at all while we wait for no-telling-how-long....
