I didn't think it would happen but I was able to transfer the old forum database over to this new one (with help from Gunter). Errors in the old database was prevented me from a quick and simple transfer and forced me to manually edit the backup. Things should be a lot better around here with this move. The new web server is significantly better and there shouldn't be too much of a spam threat. I have also given Gunter and ORL full access to the forum files and database which will greatly help keep this place nice. I decided to run this forum on the latest phpBB3 release candidate (R5) which is quite more powerful than phpBB2.
In order to remove the massive amount of spam user accounts I deleted all accounts with zero posts. If you happen to have registered an account on the old forum and have no posts, your account has been deleted. Don't worry, you have not been banned and can simply create a new one if you like.
I'm sorry for any inconvenience this whole transaction may have caused anybody. Hopefully, everybody will enjoy this board a lot better and I hope you enjoy your stay.
