Future vs Fantasy Quake

I remember playing this a long time ago at my friends house, and I just stumbled upon this, and realizing there are people playing online! I need in on this.

I have Quake 1 on steam, I installed everything in the downloads section and unzipped them in the correct folders, but when I go into Mark V, I type game fvf, but it does not load, it just says game fvf but just sits there, please help.

Ok, it sounds like you are loading the mod, so at that point you need to connect to the server.

Type in console:

connect fvf.servequake.com


Not a lot of people play anymore, but maybe if you join the server on Sunday nights, someone might show up.
Of course there are always plenty of monsters to kill!
