This looks sort of fun.
YouTube just recommended it to me.

Mr. Do! would win that game.
He's all about the hammer.
And you know he's hardcore, because he has an exclamation mark as part of his name.
Maybe I should change my Quake name to "Gunter!" to be more hardcore.

Found a nice "clown hammer" at Spirit Halloween after I first skimmed your post. I think it was even red.
Had a nice feel or weight to it, in handling it, actually . But I wasn't going to pay for it.

I tried doing an image search to see if I could find the source of your random dancing clown avatar (the original dancing Mr. Do! avatar I had made got lost in a forum transition long ago so I had randomly found that one to replace it).
While your dancing clown isn't actually Mr. Do!, it really bears a resemblance, having the same type of makeup and hat and polka-dot costume....
But this was the only image I could find that matched yours:
From a 2007 post on a Thai forum....

And then I found this documentary of the History of Mr. Do!

And I always liked this background music

Ooo, and here's a remix while I'm at it

Cool stuff, Gunter.
someday I might see if I accidentally archived the original Mr. Do! gif, but not today.

I was always a fan of Mr. Do! from playing the old arcade games. I also like him because he's more obscure than the oversaturated popular characters that everyone likes. It seems he has a small cult following out there too.
This is an entertaining video about weird official Mr. Do! art:

Here's a nice fanart of him: https://www.deviantart.com/primeop/art/Mr-Do-55777935
Here's one of him looking hardcore: https://10thletter.blogspot.com/2015/02/mr-do.html
And here's one from the early 80s of Mr. Do! as an anime girl: https://cohost.org/ArnoldArmadillo/post ... rl-mr-do-f
